ReplyThis was not the first VRS talent show! Talent shows were held annually during the 1990's under the direction of teacher Gail Lombardi and PTA President Antoinette Zieser. I am glad to hear they are back...great memories.

For the record, I deleted my own previous post after reconsidering the wisdom of taking part in this debate. I am not a Patch employee but a freelance writer with the same right to an opinion as anyone else. I stand by my comment that an ALL-CLASS reunion is usually designed to entertain the majority of those in attendance, which it did. Not to mention that this "reunion" is really a public event which happens to provide a convenient place for former ALJ grads to bump into each other while in town for the holiday. I hope you folks find a suitable venue for your 44th reunion. Good luck.

ReplyNancy...I also remember being scared to death of the sled going too close to the river and falling in. That is where we always went sleigh riding too. Don't forget the long walk back up that steep hill. I kept that sled for a long, long time and used it for a holiday decoration but I am not sure where it is now.
