Mother Seton Bio Team Takes First Place in Second Round of NJ Science League

The team also won first place in the first round of competition.

This release was submitted by Mother Seton Regional High School. In the second round of district competition in the New Jersey Science League, the Biology I team representing Mother Seton Regional High School, Clark, AGAIN took first place honors.  Mother Seton’s team competed against Arthur l. Johnson High School, Clark, Cranford High School,Cranford, and Jonathan Dayton High School, Springfield. Team members for this round of competition  were:  Noni Tinglin-Jarrett, Irvington, Sophie Beier, Cranford, Julie Dunn, Edison and Lizelle Policarpio, South Plainfield.   The team is coached by Mrs. Doris Vaiana, a member of Mother Seton’s science department.

Mother Seton Bio Team Takes First Place in First Round of NJ Science League

Four students earned top honors.

This release was submitted by Mother Seton Regional High School. In the first round of district competition in the New Jersey Science League, the Biology I team representing Mother Seton Regional High School, Clark, captured first place honors.  Team members are: NoniTinglin -Jarrett, a graduate of Good Shepard Academy, Irvington, Sophie Beier, a graduate of Saint Michael’s School, Cranford, Julia Dunn, a graduate of Saint Agnes School, Clark, and  Christina Puntiel, a graduate of Perth Amboy Catholic School, Perth Amboy.  The team is coached by Mrs. Doris Vaiana, a member of Mother Seton’s science department.

[PHOTO] Mother Seton Students Make Thanksgiving Baskets for the Needy

The baskets will be distributed to St. John's Food Pantry and the Elizabeth Coalition.

This release was submitted by Mother Seton Regional High School. Students at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark collected more than 45 Thanksgiving baskets for the needy.  Homeroom representatives on each grade level were responsible for the coordination of these efforts. They will be distributed to Saint John’s Food Pantry in Clark-Linden and also to the Elizabeth Coalition for the homeless in Elizabeth.

Mother Seton Presents 'Godspell'

Performances are scheduled for November 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m.

This release was submitted by Mother Seton Regional High School. Mother Seton Regional High School, Clark, will present “Godspell” as its annual musical production.  Performances are scheduled for November 16 and 17 at 7:30pm on campus.  The play is based on The Gospel according to Saint Matthew, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Prominent roles in the Mother Seton Production of “Godspell” are played by the following students:  Catherine Bialkowski, Clifton, Jocelyn Brown, Orange, Hannah Clark, Scotch Plains, Janeclare McCann, Cranford, Kandace Moore, West Orange, Katie Newton, Middlesex, Bria Pendar, Newark and Catherine Serzan, Westfield.  Noah Belmont, Cranford, is cast as Jesus and Kenneth Marples, Elizabeth, portrays the role…

Five Mother Seton Students Named National Merit Scholarship Commended Students

These students place among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2013 competition.

This release was submitted by Mother Seton Regional High School. Sister Regina Martin, Principal of Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, announced that Caitilin Conroy (Scotch Plains), AnnMary Hanna (Union), Jessica Leszczyk (Fords), Danielle Pfleghaar (Colonia) and Zinalenia Sockwell (Newark) have been named as commended students in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. A letter of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, is presented to these academically talented seniors.
