Kara Alongi Investigation Ongoing, State Police Release Her 911 Call

In her 911 call from a rest stop on the Turnpike, Alongi maintains she had been abducted, stating a black man forced her from her home.

There are still more questions than answers when it comes to Kara Alongi, the 16-year-old Arthur L. Johnson junior who tweeted "There is somone in my hour ecall 911" before leaving her home voluntarily on Sept 30. Alongi's tweet sparked a frenzied search across the Twitterverse, with #HelpFindKara trending worldwide just hours after she disappeared. Police later discovered that Alongi had left home voluntarily, taking a cab and then a train from Rahway train station. Two days later on Oct. 2, Alongi was found safe and unharmed after she called 911 from the John Fenwick rest stop on the Turnpike near exit 1. Clark Police are still investigating where Alongi went and why and have yet to close the case. The Alongi family has also kept quiet. …

  Berkeley Heights Solar Panel Project Is Near Completion At Two Berkeley Heights Schools Solar panels at two Berkeley Heights schools have been installed and are expected to be turned on in the next couple weeks, providing 60 to 70 percent of energy for each building. The panels, which were installed over the last few months, were wired to the electrical systems at Governor Livingston High School and William Woodruff Elementary School on Wednesday, Sept. 26, said Board of Education Secretary Donna A. Felezzola. The next phase of project is the installation of instructional kiosks at each school, which should be achieved within the next two weeks. [VIDEO] Mayor Bonaccorso: 'Come Home, Kara. It's Fine'

Bonaccorso addressed Alongi's disappearance at Monday night's council meeting.

At Monday night's council meeting, Clark Mayor Sal Bonaccorso addressed Kara Alongi's disappearance and commended the Clark Police Department for their work determining that Alongi left home voluntarily and was not abducted. Bonaccorso referenced online commenters who have complained about the tax dollars spent searching for Alongi. "My prayers are for the Alongi family and that that girl gets home safely," said Bonaccorso. "Right now there's not a criminal investigation going on, but there's a moral investigation. Alongi Bought Train Ticket to NYC, Still Missing Tuesday

Some have suggested Alongi left because she was blamed for police breaking up an underage drinking party in the days preceding her disappearance.
