The Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation was established December 2004 in honor of the memory of Meghan Bradley, who passed away on November 7 after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
This release was provided by the Clark School District. Teachers and staff at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark support research for pediatric brain cancer through a donation to the Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation. The Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation was established December 2004 in honor of the memory of Meghan Bradley, who after being diagnosed with brain cancer on October 1, passed away on November 7th. This release was received from the Clark School District. The Fun and Games Club is an after school activity organized by teachers Jennifer Bartolomeo and Arielle Wegbreit at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark. It is a club for students of all ability levels. It is an exciting, interactive environment in which students come together in grades 6, 7, and 8 to share their love for fun and games. The club meets once a week with a varied array of students. While sign-in sheets are provided at every meeting, attendance is not taken to entice members to bring their friends along. This release was provided by the Clark School District. During the last week of February, the elementary schools in Clark, NJ celebrated Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week. During RAK Week, students participated in many different activities organized by Ashley Aligo, Guidance Counselor, which promoted kindness throughout the schools, home, and the community. As park of the RAK movement in the schools, a Kindness Tree was created and displayed in a prominent location in both Frank K. Hehnly School and Valley Road School. This release was submitted by the Clark School District. On Wednesday, February 6th, Clark’s parent support group, It Takes a Village, organized by parent Mike Deitze, held their monthly meeting. Parents of children in the elementary schools get together to discuss different issues they are facing with their children, and brainstorm ways they can deal with them. National Football League Coach Chet Parlavecchio of the Tennessee Titans visited the Clark Schools this past week, making stops in Central Office, Arthur L. Johnson High School, and Frank K. Hehnly Elementary School. Parlavecchio is a New Jersey native and a legendary high school football coach where he led the programs in Bloomfield, Clifton, Passaic Valley, Irvington, and Elizabeth for three decades, winning a State Group IV Championship in Elizabeth in 2006. Kumpf Middle School, was recently published in the MAAP Newsletter, a quarterly newsletter for families of more advanced individuals with Autism, Asperger Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder (Volume 3, 2012). Gabby’s memoir, “My Life with Asperger’s” provided a candid glimpse into the life of a sixth grader growing up with Asperger’s. The memoir assignment required students to reflect on six of the most important experiences in their lives.
