This release was received from the Clark School District. The Clark Education Fund held their annual International Wine Tasting and Microbrew Extravaganza on Friday evening, April 5th, at the Gran Centurions in Clark. Money raised via the fundraiser is all donated back to the school district via mini-grants made available to teachers and staff members for innovative instructional programs and practices. The fundraiser was a big success, with the largest attendance in recent years, as a total of 179 individuals attended the event. A number of attendees were teachers, staff, and administration from the Clark School District. This release was submitted by the Clark School District. On Tuesday, December 11, 2012, the Clark Education Fund (C.E.F.) handed out their annual Fall C.E.F. Grants to the many teachers that applied. The Arthur L. Johnson Physical Education Department and Coaches were well represented as Andrea Ascolese, Dan House, Anthony Delconte, and Brian Kenyon all received grants that will benefit the students at Arthur L. Johnson High School. Andrea Ascolese (ALJ Physical Education Teacher, Assistant Field Hockey Coach, and Assistant Softball Coach), received a wonderful Mini Grant from the Clark Education Fund to allow for Junior year health classes to be given the opportunity to become CPR certified through the AHA for infant certification as well…

Johnson High School gym on Friday night, November 30 at 7:00 p.m. The Harlem Wizards, a flashy, awe-inspiring team of basketball exhibition pros, will take on the “Clark All Stars,” a team comprised of popular teachers from all Clark schools, Clark Recreation coaches, community leaders, and more, all led by “Coach, Sal”, the mayor.
