Clark Man Charged in Adams Street Hit-and-Run

Peter Jacobi, 54, was charged with aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident.

Clark Police have charged Clark resident Peter Jacobi, 54, in the Jan. 12 hit-and-run that occured at the intersection of Adams Street and Madison Hill Road. According to police reports, Jacobi struck Christine Vanbenschoten, 41, also a Clark resident, as she was walking north on Madison Hill Road with a dog. Jacobi came forward to police, according to Captain Al Scherb, and we reported that Clark Police had a person-of-interest in the case in February. On Feb. 8, Jacobi was arrested, charged with aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident, and released after being issued a court date.
