Kai the Hitchhiker to Appear in Court, Cub Scout's Annual Pancake Breakfast This Week

What's happening this week in Clark and Garwood.

Clark and Garwood events for Jan. 6 - 12, 2013:

"Kai the Hitchhiker" to appear in court: Caleb McGillvary - aka Kai the Hitchhiker, the internet celeb accused of killing Clark attorney Joseph Galfy – will appear in court on Monday. McGillvary previously pleaded not guilty. Stay tuned to Patch for updates on Monday's appearance.

Clark Council reorganization meeting: 
Clark Council will meet Monday night for their annual reorganization meeting in council chambers above the police station. View the meeting agenda here. Monday, 7 p.m.

Garwood Baseball and Softball League spring registration: The Garwood Baseball and Softball League will have open registration at Lincoln School to accept forms and answer any questions. The league offers T-Ball, instructional baseball, softball and baseball for kids 4 to 13. Any questions: email info@garwoodbaseball.com or call 1-877-493-2251. Tuesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to noon.         

GWACC networking breakfast at Gallery U Boutique: 
Join the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce at Gallery U Boutique in Westfield to pass business cards and network with current and prospective GWACC members from the surrounding area. Every participant gets the opportunity to spend a few minutes sharing information about their business with the group. Complimentary breakfast treats and coffee provided by Gallery U Boutique. Tuesday, 8 a.m.

Cub Scout Pack 145's annual pancake breakfast: The menu will include pancakes, bacon, juice, coffee, and other goods. The cost of the breakfast is $5 at the door. The proceeds of the breakfast will be used to help fund Pack events including camping trips, meetings, and the many educational activities the organization provides for the Scouts. Saturday, 8 a.m. - noon.
