Clark Italian Feast, 'Bully' Screening at ALJ, Denora Foundation Comedy Night

Clark UNICO Italian Feast returns: The 7th Annual UNICO Italian American Feast will take place over Columbus Day weekend on October 11, 12 and 13 on the Clark Municipal Building grounds at 430 Westfield Avenue. Read all about the Feast, here.

Comedy night honors ALJ grad who lost cancer battle: The Michael C. Denora Foundation is holding its 4th Annual Comedy Night benefit for kids fighting cancer on Saturday. Join them for a night of food, drinks, dessert, raffle baskets and a comedy show featuring Vic DiBitetto and Tom Daddario. Tickets ($50) must be purchased in advance. "Bully" screening at ALJ: The ALJ "No Hate Project" - presents "Bully," with a screening and discussion of the movie for parents at 7 p.m. on Monday in the ALJ auditorium.

Clark council meets: On Monday, Clark council meets for their workshop meeting at 7:30 p.m. in Room 30 of the municipal building. Check out the meeting agenda, here.

Garwood council meets: On Tuesday, Garwood council meets for their first October meeting. At council's last meeting, longtime Garwood resident, planning board member and council meeting regular, Bruce Paterson announced his candidacy for November's Garwood council election.

Donate blood at the Clark Firehouse: The Clark Fire Department and the Blood Center of New Jersey will host a community blood drive at the Broadway Firehouse on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to donate.

Flu shots for Garwood residents: The Westfield Regional Health Department offers flu shots for member towns (Garwood is a member) at the Fanwood Rec Center on Thursday from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

Catch a free flick at the Clark Library: This week's "Totally New Tuesdays" movies is "The Sapphires" (Rated PG-13):"Inspired by a true story, it's 1968, and four young, talented Australian Aboriginal girls learn about love, friendship, and war when their all-girl group the Sapphires entertains U.S. troops in Vietnam."

For the kids: It's storytime at the Clark Barnes & Noble – Tuesday at 7 p.m. kids are welcome to come (in their pajamas if they'd like) to enjoy Storytime with Miss Mayra.

The Station starts fall specials: This week the restaurant and bar offers two fall specials, the Beer-O-Rita (Jose Cuervo, Cinge and Angry Orchard beer with a twist of lime) and Fall Crisp Apple Pear Sangria combination of apples, pears and white wine.
