ALJ's Fall Play, German Christmas Market at the Deutscher Club This Week

What's happening this week in Clark and Garwood.

Clark Council meets: Council will meet on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in council chambers above the police station. See council's agenda, here.

ALJ fall play: The high school's fall play will be performed on Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. This year's show is Dark of the Moon – the tale of a witch boy who falls in love with a human girl set in the Great Smoky Mountains of Appalachia where the valley folk become highly suspicious of an outsider who has come into their lives and turns their world upside down.

Christkindlmarkt at the Deutscher Club: On Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m., the Deutscher Club Ladies Division Presents Christkindlmarkt, an authentic German Christmas market. Open to the public. Free admission.

Special event story time at Barnes & Noble: On Friday, the book store will present three different special story times with The Day the Crayons Quit (10 a.m.), If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (2 p.m.), and The Elf on the Shelf (7 p.m.). 

Raise funds for the ALJ Alumni Foundation: Check out special "Give Back" events at Chili's and Barnes & Noble on Monday.

GWACC networking event at Rosie's:
The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (of which Garwood is a member) will hold a networking happy hour at Rosie's Wine Bar on Tuesday. Open to all current and prospective members. Come gather with business professionals from the surrounding towns and enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres. Cash bar. Tuesday, 6 p.m.

Prep for Thanksgiving at the Westfield Farmers Market: The Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce (of which Garwood is a member) will host a special Thanksgiving Farmers Market at the Westfield train station. Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
