Don't Miss Clark Blood Drive Today

Help those in need of blood donations - and help a student get a scholarship in the bargain.

If you ever wanted to donate blood, today's the day to do it.

Local Clark resident and college student Deanna Carlucci is holding a blood drive today from 1:30 pm to 7:30 PM at the Clark Rescue Squad at 875 Raritan Road.  Not only will the blood donations go to a worthy cause, but you'll be helping Carlucci earn financial help towards her college goals.

"I have lived in Clark since I was young and currently I am a student at Rutgers University," Carlucci said.  This blood drive means so much to me because the need for blood is so great in our society today with all of the natural disasters and tragedies occurring everyday."

A blood donor herself, Carlucci said she wanted to "help encourage others to donate to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need."

If she manages to get enough people to donate, she said she would get a scholarship that would help pay for her college expenses.
