Clark Girls Softball League Opens Fall Registration

The league is open to all girls in grades pre-K through 8, who reside in Clark, Garwood and Winfield, or who attend private school in Clark.

The Clark Girls Softball League is happy to announce fall registration for the 2014 season will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23 and Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Brewer Recreational Center. The 2014 season is slated to begin in March and runs to early June.

The league is open to all girls in grades pre-K through 8, who reside in Clark, Garwood and Winfield, or who attend private school in Clark. This year, the league will open registration to girls who are four years old. Girls must be four by October 1.

“We decided to open the league to the younger girls because of the growing number of parents who wanted to sign up their daughters,” said CGSB President Judi Pecoraro. “Our instructional division is a great entry-level platform for girls to experience softball for the first time.”

Pecoraro says the 2013 season was one of the league’s most successful seasons.

“Last season we saw a growth in all areas of the association, not only on the field, but in the stands too," she said. "And, we are looking forward to building on the success of this past season by increasing the number of teams in each division, especially the instructional division.”
