ALJ Cheerleaders Selected to Super Bowl Welcoming Committee

The cheerleaders performed cheers, chants, gymnastics and stunts at Newark Airport on Monday.

The Arthur L. Johnson High School Varsity cheerleaders were recently selected to become the welcoming committee for the Super Bowl media and fans at Newark Airport.

The cheerleaders performed in Terminal A between 6 and 8 p.m. on Monday. The cheerleaders – accompanied by their coaches, Lindsey Barrett, Suzanne Hamilton and Cristina Faro – welcomed the Super Bowl media and fans with spirited Super Bowl cheers, chants, gymnastics and stunts.

Terminal A at Newark Airport was decorated with balloons, Super Bowl signs, and a carpet resembling a football turf. Fans and travelers took time out of their busy schedules to gather around the cheerleaders and to enjoy some Super Bowl spirit.
