'The Walking Dead' and Other Characters Come to Life in ALJ Puppetry Workshop

Puppetry Students at Arthur L. Johnson High School were recently assigned a creative Television Character Themed project.  With the instructional guidance of their Art Teacher, Mr. Bryan Klimchak, students were encouraged to challenge their pre-existing skills and construct iconically relevant characters in the media.  Students worked cooperatively through a sequence that culminated in a successful final production.  

Throughout the construction process, students shared critical feedback and cooperated on aligning their characters within the same television series.  According to Mr. Klimchak, the mission of the Puppetry Workshop is to assist students in developing their skills in language through their investigation of the art and craft of puppetry. Shadow puppets, marionettes, and hand puppets are constructed and manipulated around stories that have been created by the students.
