The SMART Responders are used as part of the new Progressive Math Initiative curriculum.

This press release was submitted by the Clark School District.

Students in Cristina Faro’s seventh grade mathematics classes at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School have the opportunity to use SMART Response technology as a part of the new Progressive Math Initiative (PMI) curriculum being used in all mathematics classrooms this year.

Each student is assigned a SMART Responder, which is used to answer questions electronically throughout the lesson to evaluate student progress on various topics and units.

During the first week of school, students practiced using the responders to answer multiple choice, true or false, and numerical answer questions. The students were very excited at the opportunity to use the responders and the new program.
