Kumpf and Lincoln Middle School Students Graduate

Five things you need to know today, Tuesday, June 21.

Happy first official day of summer! Today is the 2011 summer solstice, the longest day of the year.

  1. will take place tonight from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Lincoln School.  Today is the final day of school for Garwood students for the 2010-2011 school year.  All students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m. 
  2. Kumpf Middle School eighth graders will walk the stage tonight at their .  The ceremony begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.  All Clark District students will be dismissed on a half day schedule today. 
  3. St. John the Apostle's Give and Share food pantry will hold a  today from noon to 2 p.m. for Clark residents in the Clark Recreation Center cafeteria. Proof of residency is required.
  4. The at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Garwood for a special presentation entitled, “Sugar 101.”  A certified, holistic health counselor will discuss the effects sugar has on the body, ways to take sugar out of children’s diets, how to manage sweet cravings, and well as healthy, natural food alternatives.
  5. Clark Preschool is currently accepting applications for enrollment the 2011-2012 School Year.  Space is still available in the preschool’s full-day program for three and four year olds. For registration information call Elaine LoPrimo at 732-428-8408.
