Johnson Takes Third Place in County at Merck State Science Day

Seven students placed in the top 10 in the county in their subjects.

Twenty students from Arthur L. Johnson high school competed in the 61st annual Merck State Science Day. There were five teams of four students.                      

Physics team: Dave Ottenstein, Alison Calo, Chris Biondi, Dennis Funk
Integrated Science team: Loretta Vill, Filip Wojcik, Mike Robinson, Jeremy Corsun
Advanced Integrated Science team: Kaitlyn Perez, Angela Stavrakis, Tom Lewis, Erin Coyle
Biology team: Elizabeth Gouillon, John Ferrentino, Justin Luis, Robert Paserchia
Chemistry team: Kane Heaning, Andre Dias, Vincent Marzano, Christopher Makosiej

As a school ALJ finished third overall (combined scores) in Union County. Both the Physics and Integrated Science teams placed third in Union County. Individually, the following students placed in the top ten in Union County:
