Johnson Seniors Graduate Tonight

Five things you need to know today, Wednesday, June 22.

  1. Arthur L. Johnson High School Seniors will receive their diplomas tonight at 7 p.m. at .  Nolan Field is the venue for tonight's graduation, weather permitting.  In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to ALJ’s gymnasium. Congratulations seniors!
  2. Today is the for all Clark School District students.  Students will be dismissed on a half day schedule.  At Hehnly Elementary School, the PTA will host a talent show for year-end fun at 9:30 a.m.
  3. Garwood residents, registration begins today for the 17th annual Summer Reading Club at Garwood Library. Pick up the club rules and your calendar page at the library to log in your reading.
  4. New York Life Insurance Company will host a free  from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at In Style Salon on Lake Avenue in Clark. Children accompanied by parent or legal guardian will receive a complimentary Identification Card, complete with photograph and fingerprints.  This ID program is free and open to the public.  For information email InStyleSalon2@aol.com.   
  5. Today is the deadline for submitting applications for the being held at the Cranford Campus July 25 through August 11. This program, which introduces various career path opportunities, is for high school students with a C or better average and preferably a teacher’s or guidance counselor’s letter of recommendation. Careers in healthcare, business and web development are the course topics.
