"Hooked on Facebook" Cyber Safety Presentation for Parents

Carl H. Kumpf Middle School will welcome keynote youth speaker Josh Gunderson’s “Hooked On Facebook” Program.  All parents are invited to attend this special parent presentation in the CHK cafeteria.

 When it comes to technology today - no one is more confused than parents. The Internet, once only available to a select few, is now accessible from computers, laptops, cell phones, and gaming consoles- just to name a few.

Josh Gunderson takes his audience on a tour of the history of the Internet and social networking. Through the course of the presentation, Josh provides information and tactics parents can use to keep their kids safe in the online world.

Additionally, Josh discusses the effect that social networking sites can have on a person’s ability to get into college or get a job and how they can protect their image and keep people from getting the wrong idea from content found on their personal profiles online.
