Fabricland's Summer Sewing Camp

For youngsters who are seeking an alternative summer experience, registration is now underway for Fabricland’s Summer Sewing Camp program.  During the months of July and August, the Sewing School located at 855 Route 22 at Wilson Avenue in North Plainfield, is offering weekly classes for children ages 9 through 17. 

Starting on Monday, July 9 and continuing right through until Thursday, August 30, sixteen  different classes are offered for all skill levels.  Most classes are taught from Monday through Thursday, but there are single one-session “Kids & Teens Can Sew” workshops.  Other programs include “Basic Beginner Sewing ‘101’ for kids and teens and “Hand Sewing” classes for all ages.  Sessions for sewing dresses, shorts, rompers, beach bags, pillows and fashion accessories are also offered.  Morning and afternoon classes are scheduled and the cost for programs range from $22 to $140 plus supplies.
