The Clark Board of Education will be honoring the achievements of student musicians in District at the upcoming Board meeting’s "Showcase of Success" on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of Arthur L. Johnson High School.

The Frank K. Hehnly School Select Choir will be recognized for performing on New 12 New Jersey’s televised “Sounds of the Season” program, at which time they performed a number of holiday songs.

Also honored will be the Arthur L. Johnson High School Marching Band. The marching band received numerous accolades at the Tournament of Bands New Jersey State Championship earlier this fall.  Among the honors bestowed on the marching band were second place in the State Championship, and the awarding of Best Drum Major to junior Thomas Spratt.

At the Board’s Showcase of Success, videos will be played of the Frank K. Hehnly Select Choir’s performance on the "Sounds of the Season" televised concert and the Arthur L. Johnson High School Marching Band’s performance at the Tournament of Bands New Jersey State Championship.

Each member of the Select Choir and Marching Band will received a certificate of commendation from the Board of Education, and afterwards cake and refreshments will be served in the school library.
