Clark Students Celebrate 100th Day of School

Students at Hehnly and Valley Road celebrated the first triple-digit day.

This release was submitted by the Clark School District.

Mrs. Venezio's second grade class at Hehnly School recently celebrated the 100th day of school. When students came in they were greeted with a sticker and a bracelet that read "I am a 100 day smart cookie." Their classroom door had a sign in the doorway that said "we are 100 days smarter" with streamers hanging down that the kids walked through.

Our activities for the day included 100 minutes of reading, writing and spelling 100 kind words, writing 100 word stories, and completing an "I'm a smart cookie" activity where they wrote down what they could now do compared to the first day of school. We also completed 100 piece puzzles in groups, read a 100th day story and completed math problems that equaled a 100. Everyone had a great day!

Across town at Valley Road School, another 100th day celebration took place. Students in Mrs.Carrano’s K-3 class at Valley Road School enjoyed counting to 100 in everything they did to celebrate the 100th day of school on February 19, 2013. The students posed in front of their counting fishbowl where they learned to count to 100.
