Clark School District Hires Seven New Teachers

This press release was provided by the Clark School District:

 A total of seven new teachers were appointed to both maternity leave replacement positions as well as tenure track positions at the Clark Board of Education Meeting this past Tuesday evening.

    Approved for hire by the Board were tenure track teachers Krista Champam, who will teach Mathematics at Carl H. Kumpf School;  Nicole Drasin, Special Education Mathematics Teacher at Carl H. Kumpf School; and Brian Kenyon, Business Teacher at Arthur L. Johnson High School.  Hired in the role of maternity leave replacement teachers were Kristina Franko, Science Teacher at Carl H. Kumpf School; Meghan Zampella, Kindergarten Teacher at Valley Road School; Suzanne Hamilton, English Teacher at Arthur L. Johnson High School; and Megan Knoth, Social Studies Teacher at Arthur L. Johnson High School.

     Clark Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Knops commented, “It’s always exciting bringing new staff members into the schools.  Each of the newly appointed teachers went through a rigorous hiring procedure involving layers of interviews.  As a means of inducting the newly hired teachers into the school community and to support their professional growth, each will attend a three day New Teacher Orientation Program later this month, and each will be part of the District’s Non-Tenured Induction Program where they’ll meet with Director of Curriculum Ed Grande on a monthly basis.  We welcome each of the new teachers and have set up an induction program that will assist in their transition into the teaching profession.”
