Clark Education Fund to Host Comedy Night at ALJ, Jan. 26

The Clark Education Fund is proud to present “Comedy Night at ALJ,” a hilarious stand-up comedy night on Saturday, January 26 at 8 pm (doors open 7:30). Actor and comedian Vince Valentine, who performs in the world-renowned Broadway hit, “Defending the Caveman,” will host and perform along with renowned comedians Chris Coccia, Tim Grill and Cathy Caldwell.  These comics have performed at the Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard in LA, Rascals, Caroline’s, Comedy Cabaret, the Improv, as well as Comedy Central.  They will bring top-shelf comedy to the ALJ High School stage!

With the serious and sometimes disheartening events of the past year weighing on our hearts and minds, now’s a great time to step out for some laughter and enjoyment so we remember to appreciate the good side of life too, and learn to laugh again. We ALL Need to Laugh More! Make a new 2013 resolution to have more fun, starting with Comedy Night at ALJ on January 26! We hope to see you there!

Tickets  for this entertaining event are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. To obtain tickets, order using fliers sent home through Clark schools, stop by the Clark Recreation Office located at 430 Westfield Avenue in Clark to buy in person, or email DLynnMul@comcast.net.  Funds raised by Comedy Night will directly benefit education through financial grants by The Clark Education Fund, Inc. for innovative and educational materials, programs and technology that directly benefit students in all Clark schools.

If you plan to dine out before or afterCOMEDY NIGHT at ALJ,” consider visiting local eatery  Bistro 1051 Italian Grill & Sushi Bar located at 1051 Raritan Road in Clarkton Shopping Center in Clark.  Bistro’s management has generously offered to make a donation equal to 10% of your food bill to The Clark Education Fund if you bring a copy of this article, a Comedy Night flier, your Comedy Night ticket stub, or simply mention “Comedy Night at ALJ.”  So have a delicious meal, appetizers or cocktails and help support education in Clark.
