Back to School! First Day of Classes in Clark
Five things you need to know today, Tuesday, September 6.
- Clark District Schools open for all students today for the start of the 2011-2012 school year. students report at 7:50 a.m.; students start their day at 8:05 a.m. and and Elementary students begin at 8:40 a.m. All Clark schools will have a full day session today.
- Garwood School district opens for teachers and staff only today and tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 7. Students will begin classes at on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 8:25 a.m. The first day of classes will be a full day session.
- in Clark will open for faculty only today and tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 7. Juniors and seniors return on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 8 a.m., and freshmen and sophomores begin their school year on Friday, Sept. 9.
- will host a Day of Reflection for teachers today and Teacher Orientation tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 7. An Ice Cream Social for all new St. John’s students is planned for 7 p.m. tonight at the school. The first day of school for students entering first through eighth grade will be Thursday, Sept. 8. Students will be dismissed early at 12 noon on Thursday and Friday. Kindergarteners start school on Monday, Sept. 12 and preschoolers will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
- in Clark welcomes teachers back from summer vacation today. Students entering grades 6 through 8 will return tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 7, and students entering kindergarten through grade 5 begin school on Thursday, Sept. 8. Students will have half day sessions all this week with dismissal at 12 noon; full school days will begin for first grade and up on Monday, Sept. 12. Kindergarten begins full day sessions on Sept. 19.
