The Week Ahead in Clark and Garwood

What's going on in town this week.

For the week of Nov. 28, 2011:

Clark continues its Toys for Tots drive. Collection boxes are located at the following locations through Dec. 12th:
Clark Municipal Building, 430 Westfield Avenue, Clark
303 Westfield Avenue, Clark
56 Westfield Avenue, Clark
360 Central Avenue, Clark
Access Self Storage, 750 Boulevard, Kenilworth
November 20 from 12-4 PM and December 3 & 4 from 12 - 4 PM, 593 Madison Hill Road, Clark

and also continue their holiday food drives. The libraries will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items to benefit the New Jersey Community Food Bank and other local food pantries. Collection bins will be conveniently located at the library and library staff will then route 100% of the donations to designated food banks.

Monday, Nov. 28, 7 p.m.: PTA meeting. ALJ High School PTA meetings are held in the school's IMC (library) located on the first floor. All parents and guardians of ALJ High School students are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings and to join the PTA.

Tuesday, Nov. 28, 7 p.m.: Isreali Dancing at
111 Valley Rd, Clark. Isreali Dance for Beginners at Temple Beth O'r Beth Torah on Tuesday Nights. True beginners at 7 p.m.; advanced beginners/intermediate at 7:45 p.m. $8 per class; prepaid $35 for 5 classes. Proceeds go to Temple Beth O'r/Beth Torah.

Thursday, Dec. 1, 12 p.m.: The Garwood Seniors Club meets on the first and third Thursday of every month at the Garwood Fire House, South Avenue, Garwood. Anyone interested in joining call Patsy at 908-789-0835 or ask for Dolores if you come to a meeting. All seniors are welcome.
