The Week Ahead: Clark Council, Garwood BOE Meetings

What's going on in town the week of March 19.

Clark Council meets tonight at 7:30 p.m in council chambers. See a PDF of the agenda for tonight's meeting in our gallery, right.

The Garwood Board of Education meets on Tuesday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the All Purpose Room at Lincoln School.

On Thursday, March 22, the Clark Environmental Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. in room 30 at the Municipal Building, 315 Westfield Avenue. Also on Thursday, the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad, 875 Raritan Road, Clark, is hosting a blood drive. This event will take place from 1:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. For more information, please call 732-220-7184 or email Mforrestal@nybloodcenter.org. All are encouraged to donate.

On Friday, March 23, the Westwood hosts the 2012 Women of Excellence Awards. The awards, supported by the Union County Freeholder Board, are presented to recognize and honor distinguished women who reside or work in Union County.  The candidates are nominated based on their achievements and the impact of their work on the County of Union in areas like Arts and Humanities, Business, Community Service, Education, Government, Law, Medicine/Health Care and Women’s Advocacy.

On Saturday, March 24, the Deutscher Club is holding a blood drive in conjunction with the Blood Center of New Jersey. Hours of donation are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
