Republican Candidates for Garwood Council Will Speak at the Pointe Thursday Night

The Republican candidates, Timothy Hak and Michael Martin, will appear at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18.

The Republican candidates for Garwood Borough Council will appear at the Pointe, the condominium complex between Maple and Chestnut Streets, on Oct. 18, and borough residents have been invited to attend the session..

“We were delighted to be able to invite the Democratic candidates earlier in the month,” said Marc Epstein, the president of the condominium’s board. “Now we hope our neighbors will join us to hear the Republican side.”

The Republican candidates, Timothy Hak and Michael Martin, will speak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, in the clubhouse at the Pointe. They have been asked to explain why they’re running, what problems they plan to address, what they foresee for the borough and why their proposals are more appealing than those of their opponents. Attendees will be welcome to ask questions and to enjoy light refreshments after the discussion..

Parking is available in the large lot behind the commercial buildings on North Avenue between Maple and Chestnut Streets. A stairway leads from the lot to the Pointe clubhouse.
