No Further Sightings of Potentially Rabid Fox in Clark

Clark police believe the fox is likely dead.

At Monday night's council meeting Clark Mayor Sal Bonaccorso updated residents about the

Mayor Bonaccorso said the fox has not been seen in some time and that the police department has been advised by animal control officials that the animal probably died. 

"Our police department chased it, looked for it and tried to capture it, but the fox eluded us," said Mayor Bonaccorso. "The department also did a walk recently looking for a carcass, but they did not find one. It may have wandered into another area. We don't know for sure, but there hasn't been a sighting."

The mayor also added that not every fox is a bad fox, and that residents do not need to call the police department every time they see a fox, though they are welcome to do so if they feel afraid and especially if the fox is acting unusual or approaching them.
