Garwood Mayor, Patricia Quattrocchi, has announced that the first edition of the borough newsletter, The Garwood Gazette, is now available for viewing on the borough website, www.garwood.org

“We encountered some unforeseen difficulties when we were ready to go to press, requiring that the printing of the newsletter be postponed. However, so as not to waste the efforts of the volunteers we are able to move forward with the digital version, “said the mayor.

She explained that the newsletter contained some time sensitive items so it made perfect sense to launch it online immediately.

“Hopefully future editions will commence landing in the residents’ mailboxes shortly and on a regular basis as well,” she added. “Our residents have been clamoring for information pertaining mostly to borough activities that they could participate in but also about services that they can utilize. We will be upgrading our website in the near future and are hoping that the combination of a print newsletter, updated website, the borough marquee on Center Street and local media we will be able to keep the borough population informed of what is going on in our town.“

The mayor also wants to encourage residents to bring their questions, concerns and suggestions to her personally at council meetings or drop in on Mayor’s Saturdays, the third Saturday of each month when she is in her office from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, no appointment necessary.
