Kumpf Middle School and Mother Seton Welcome New Students Today

Five things you need to know today, Thursday, September 1.

  1. Clark’s Carl H. Kumpf Middle School's incoming sixth Graders and new students are invited to today’s from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Faculty and staff will welcome new students and help to acclimate them to the school prior to the first day of classes. Clark Teachers return to all Clark schools today and tomorrow for Superintendent Ken Knops’ convocation and a two-day Professional Development session. Students will return on Tuesday, September 6, following the Labor Day holiday.
  2. Incoming Mother Seton Regional High School students will attend a , hosted by the Sophomore Big Sister Committee, today from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Buses will run for freshmen and sophomores three hours later than the regular morning bus schedule. All Faculty, Sophomore Big Sisters, new students, Student Council officers and class officers are invited.
  3. After a long summer break, the at 1 p.m. at the Brewer Senior Center located at 430 Westfield Avenue. All seniors are welcome to attend. Guest speakers will include Donald P. Connola, Jr., President of the Friends of Clark Library, along with Erin Coffey, reference librarian, who will speak about upcoming events at the library for Clark seniors.   4. Because of the Labor Day holiday, will be picked up curbside four days early, tomorrow morning, Thursday, September 2. Residents should bring all paper, plastic and glass recyclables the curb by tomorrow at 7 a.m. Next recycling collection will be on September 19.
  5. The will NOT meet tonight. Tonight's meeting will be rescheduled.
