Internet Job Search Help at Clark Library

Five things you need to know today, Thursday, July 28.

  1. Union County College brings a free to the Clark Library today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This class will focus on basic Internet use, understanding website addresses, introduction to the major search engines and elements of a web search, with emphasis on job searches. To register call the library at 732-388-5999.
  2. Garwood Library will host its weekly summer kids’ movie, "" the PG-rated 2008 fantasy thriller, today at 2 p.m. All are invited to this free event. Guests are welcome to bring a snack to enjoy during the movie. 
  3. Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad is hosting a today from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. sponsored by ALJ High School Student Joseph Frost. New Jersey Blood Services, a division of the New York Blood Center is facing major challenges this season trying to maintain an adequate and safe blood supply. For more information visit, www.nybloodcenter.org or call 732-220-7184. All eligible donors are urged to consider donating this summer.
  4. Children entering 4th through 7th grade are invited to register for today’s at the Clark Library today at 3:30 p.m. Participants will learn about the ancient Japanese paint technique from artist Peri and create their own marbleized paper, just as the Japanese did over 2,000 years ago. Call the library or register online.
  5. Reservations are due by the end of this week for The at Mt. Haven Country Resort in Milford, PA on September 14. The cost is $60 per person and includes breakfast, transportation, Luau and gratuities. Contact Louise at 732-680-1989 to reserve your space.
