Hit the Bullseye with Archery Lessons in Oak Ridge Park Today

Five things you need to know today, Wednesday, July 27.

  1. Draw back…aim…release…bullseye! will be conducted at the Union County Archery Range at Oak Ridge Park in Clark tonight at 6 p.m. The two-hour course consists of a safety training session taught by certified instructors, followed by hands-on instruction at the range. The fee is $20 per person. Archery equipment is provided. Anyone age 9 or older is welcome.
  2. An eclectic mix of music from nostalgic Swing Era classics to contemporary funk, Latin, and rhythm & blues will echo through the trees at Echo Lake Park tonight as Union County continues its free Summer Arts Festival with a concert by "," an 18-piece orchestra, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Bring a picnic basket, a blanket or chairs to sit on and enjoy a night of great jazz music. The concert is free and open to all.
  3. will entertain, amaze and perform awesome tricks for kids at the Garwood Library today at 2 p.m. Kids and their adult companions are invited to register for this fun, magical show online or by calling (908) 789-1670.
  4. Trailside Nature & Science Center’s popular Wednesday Matinee Series continues today with a performance of “” today at 1:30 p.m. Talented DJ and entertainer, Jo Jo Russell, takes the stage for a nonstop musical journey that will have the audience on their feet, clapping, stomping and swaying to the music. Tickets go on sale at Trailside Nature & Science Center at 1 p.m. Admission is $4.
  5. Clark Pool members, take a break from the water with your little ones from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. today for with Clark Library staff. Enjoy kiddie stories and songs with a water theme. This program, open to pool members and their guests, is geared toward preschoolers with their adult companions, but all are welcome to participate.
