Garwood's Lincoln School and Local Parochial Schools Open Today

Five Things You Need to Know Today, Thursday, September 8

  1. Garwood School District’s opens today for all grades for the 2011-2012 school year. Students are to report to school at 8:15 a.m. Homeroom begins at 8:25 a.m. Today will be a full day session with student dismissal at 2:55 p.m.
  2. Today is the first day of school for juniors, seniors and student council members only. School begins at 8 a.m. and dismissal will be at 1:45 p.m. Tomorrow, Friday, September 9, is the first day for freshmen and sophomores only.
  3. Today is the first day of school for students entering grades 1 through 8. Students are asked to assemble outdoors on the first day of school. Families are welcome to attend the school’s Opening Liturgy 10 a.m. Today will be a shortened session with student dismissals at noon.
  4. ’s Kindergarten through 5th grade students only will attend their first day of school today. Kindergarteners are to report directly to their classrooms by 7:50 a.m. Students in grades 1 through 5 are asked to assemble on the playground outdoors. Grades 6 through 8 do not report for school today, but will return tomorrow. Dismissal for St. Agnes students will be at 12:00 p.m. all week.
  5. Looking for a way to help local families affected by Hurricane Irene? The who were affected by Hurricane Irene. Donations can be dropped off after 4 p.m. weekdays at the Knights Hall located at 37 South Avenue. To make monetary donations, deliver checks payable to "Garwood K of C Emergency Food Drive,” in an envelope marked to the attention of Keith Gallagher. For more information call 908-789-9809.
