Garwood Presents NJ Transit Study Results Tonight

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall.

NJ Transit will present the results of its Transit Oriented Development feasability study tonight at 7 p.m. in a public meeting at Borough Hall.

The six-month study took place in 2010 and involved a walking tour of the borough, meetings with residents and analysis by NJT's Transit-Friendly consultant team.

According to Kathy Villaggio, who heads the Mayor's Transit Village Advisory Committee, the meeting will include a slideshow with long-term and short-term recommendations for how the borough. The recommendations will include physical opportunities for transit-oriented development, zoning changes, potential commuter parking locations and more.
