Garwood Mayor to Speak at the Pointe Tonight

Mayor Patricia Quattrocchi has been asked to address the status of Garwood's controversial athletic complex and more.

Residents from all parts of Garwood are expected to attend a “State of the Borough” presentation by Mayor Patricia Quattrocchi at the Pointe, the condominium complex between Maple and Chestnut Streets, on Thursday, Aug. 22. All Garwood residents have been invited to the session.

“Mayors have traditionally summarized the borough’s status at formal organizational meetings of the government each year,” said Christine Spear, the president of the condominium’s board.. “But this will be the first time, as far as we know, when citizens will be able to join an open, informal exchange over that information with our town’s chief executive.

“We think it’s an important event,” Spear added, “and we hope our neighbors will join us to take advantage of it.”
