Dive In! Clark Pool Hosts Open House on Saturday

Are you a pool member or looking to become one? Read on.

Summertime is around the corner. If you're looking for a place to cool off when temps go up, check out the Clark Pool.

Pool officials are inviting the public to their open house this Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pool memberships, swim lesson and swim team registration will be accepted that day in person. The Clark Pool will open for the season on Saturday, May 26, from 12 - 6 p.m.

This year's highlights include new bathrooms, changing rooms and showers. The pool offers swim lessons, swim team, late night family swim, kids parties, Friday Floats, Raft Sunday, arts & crafts, ceramics, a Fourth of July celebration, story time, basketball, ping-pong and more.

This season, the pool is also switching over to a new entrance routine. All past members will be asked to stop by the office during the pool season to have new membership cards made. Moving forward, members must scan their card at the front desk upon entering. (Replacement fee for lost cards is $15.)

Pool officials are also happy to announce a new guest pass package. A member is now able to purchase 10 daily ($7) guest passes for $70 and receive two free. Passes are valid Monday - Friday for both adults and children, and weekends and holidays for children only. All guest pass packages can be purchased at the pool during pool hours. Passes must be used during the 2012 season and will expire after Labor Day.

Resident membership prices are as follows: family, $350; married/domestic partnership, $300; individual (ages 14+), $200; one parent & child, $300; senior citizen (age 62+), $100.

Non-resident membership prices are as follows: family, $515; married/domestic partnership, $440; individual (ages 14+), $300; one parent & child, $440; senior citizen (age 62+), $150.

The pool is open seven days a week with weekday hours from noon till 8:30 p.m and weekends from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Registration and ID cards can be processed during the open house. Applications and payments can be mailed before June 1 to the address below. (ID cards can be updated at the pool only after payment is received.) After June 1, those wishing to join the pool can register in person at the pool during daily hours. A late fee will be charged for all memberships received after June 1.

Pool officials also want to make residents aware of some time changes for pool programs:
Early Morning Lap Swimming: 9-10:15 a.m.
Swim Lessons: 10:30 - 11:10 a.m. & 11:10-11:50 a.m.
Baby Pool will open Monday - Friday at 10:30 a.m.
Swim Team: 10:15-11:00 a.m. (ages 10 & under)
                   11:00-11:45 a.m. (ages 11 & up)
