Clark Board of Ed., Garwood Council Meetings Tonight

Five things you need to know today, Tuesday, Sept. 27.

  1. for its second September regular meeting. The public session of the meeting convenes at 7 p.m. in Clark Council chambers located at 315 Westfield Avenue. Tonight’s agenda, including student success showcase, staff and position appointments and budget approvals, is available at www.clarkschools.org under the Board of Education tab. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
  2. Relax your body and mind and learn to reduce the stresses of daily life. The popular returns to Trailside Nature and Science Center today and will run for ten consecutive Tuesdays from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Union County residents pay just $15 per class. Pre-registration is preferred; participants may register for individual sessions.   3. Clark Seniors, get healthy and feel great. Come to the Clark Recreation today from 9 to 10 a.m. for a . This class, which Clark Recreation offers twice weekly from September through June on Tuesdays and Thursdays, is designed specifically for seniors, incorporating aerobic exercises, toning and stretching. Most exercises can be done to accommodate physical limitations, even while seated. In addition, the Senior Fitness Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Use of the fitness equipment, weights and treadmills is free to all Clark seniors.

Students in sixth through eighth grade and their families are invited to Holy Trinity Interparochial School in Westfield, for a tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Representatives from Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, Bishop Ahr, Delbarton, Mount Saint Mary Academy, Oak Knoll, Oratory Prep, Roselle Catholic, Saint Dominic Academy, Saint Joseph’s, Saint Mary’s, Saint Peter’s Prep, Seton Hall Prep, and Union Catholic will be available to discuss their schools’ academic and extracurricular programs. No pre-registration is required. All are welcome.
