VIDEO: The Bistro 1051 Bread Bandit Strikes Again!

Back again, has brazenly returned to Clark's and made off with some more dough: Security cameras show what appears to be the same man in a maroon Ford F-150 pickup tossing Bistro's morning bread delivery into the bed of his truck.

Bistro 1051 owner Michael Savvis says he's shocked that the man was bold enough to become a repeat offender, especially after Patch ran photos of the theft and Channel 4 News picked up our story.

This incident happened at 6:05 a.m. on Friday, according to Savvis. This is the fourth time Bistro's bread has gone missing and the second time the theft has been caught on camera.

"I think this guy has got a lot of nerve," Savvis told Patch. "I mean after all this publicity, he struck again? I guess we don't know if he is even aware that he was in the news or is being watched on camera."

"Again it looks like he comes after stopping at Clark Bagel," Clark Detective George Marmarou told Patch. "This time the image is a little clearer, but we still can't make out the license plate. We're giving the photo out to our guys patrolling, so now they at least have a better picture of the truck he has."

"The guy is real smooth in the way he does it," Savvis told Patch in our interview the first time he caught the bread bandit on camera. "He just walks up, grabs it and throws it in the back of his truck. Maybe it’s someone from another restaurant. I don’t know. We’re very shocked because it's broad daylight when he does it. It’s a big inconvenience. The bread comes from New York and you can’t get another delivery that same day."

Savvis says DiCosmo’s, also located in the Clarkton Shopping Center, has had their bread delivery stolen before, too.
