The Clark Blotter: Two Men Arrested for Burglarizing Carolina Street Home

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A keen-eyed neighbor helped Clark Police catch two burglars.

Around 2:30 p.m. on May 22, after receiving a call from a neighbor who witnessed suspicious activity at 389 Carolina Street, police were able to arrest Michael Gardner, age 35, married, an insurance agent of 16 Prescott Turn in Clark and Justin Wolf, age 23, single, a carpenter of 515 Shackamaxon Drive in Westfield for burglary and theft.

"The men took jewelry and were stopped about a block and a half from the crime scene after we got that call," Clark Police Captain Al Scherb told Patch.

Bail was set at $15,000 for both men who were subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Det. Walter Merfert was the arresting officer.

May 22, 11:13 p.m. – In the vicinity of Madison Hill Road, police arrested Michael Bullock, age 20, marital status unknown, employment status unknown of 1808 Bond Street in Rahway on outstanding warrants totaling $2,600 for contempt of court. Bullock was subsequently turned over to the Edison Police Department. Pedro Oliveira was the arresting officer.  

May 23, 4:09 p.m. – At Headquarters, police arrested James Barone, age 40, married, unemployed of 109 Mandon Court in Princeton on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. Barone was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Thomas Sarnecki was the arresting officer.  

May 25, 11:20 a.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a locker at Bally's Total Fitness. The incident is under investigation. Daniel Pitts was the investigating officer.

May 25, 6 p.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle at 217 Lexington Boulevard. The incident is under investigation. Steven Francisco was the investigating officer.
