The Clark Blotter: ShopRite Shoplifter Had Outstanding Warrants in Garwood, Elsewhere

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 29, 6:52 a.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence at 21 Westfield Avenue. The incident is under investigation. Omer Olmeda was the investigating officer.

Jan. 23, 2:42 p.m. – At ShopRite, police arrested Martin C. Phillips, age 39, single, unemployed of 120 Columbus Place in Roselle Park for shoplifting merchandise valued at $98.49. Phillips was also detained on outstanding warrants totaling $2,255 from Garwood, Kenilworth, Rahway and Roselle Park for contempt of court. Phillips was subsequently turned over to the Garwood Police Department. Brian Pereira was the arresting officer.
