The Clark Blotter: Police Make Arrests for DWI, Possession, Theft

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clark police activity, Nov. 26 - Dec. 10, 2012:

Theft

Nov. 28, 3:22 pm. – At Headquarters, police arrested Colleen Smith, age 19, single, a cashier of 102 Retford Avenue in Cranford for theft. Smith was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Kevin Shackleton was the arresting officer.

DWI

Nov. 28, 10:16 p.m. – In the vicinity of 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Aleesia Simmons, age 28, single, unemployed of 289 West Clay Avenue in Roselle Park for DWI (driving while intoxicated). Simmons was subsequently released pending a court date. Brian Renda was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrests

Nov. 30, 11:11 a.m. – At the Cliffside Park Police Department, police arrested Peter Guirguess, age 33, single, unemployed of 266 Renner Avenue in Newark on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $1,359 for contempt of court. Guirguess was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Thomas Sarnecki was the arresting officer.

Possession

Dec. 3, 11:25 p.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Durrel Roberts, age 19, single, a clean-up worker of 105 Aldine Street, Apt. #2 in Newark for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances). Roberts was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

Dec. 5, 7:56 p.m. – In the vicinity of 100 Walnut Avenue, police arrested Shaun C. O’Farrell, age 42, single, a mechanic of 16 Wendy Road in Colonia for possession of a hypodermic needle and hindering apprehension. O'Farrell was also detained on outstanding warrants from Hillside and the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department. O'Farrell was subsequently transported to the Middlesex County Jail. Joshua Disano was the arresting officer.

Fictitious Insurance Card

Dec. 4, 1:41 p.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound, police arrested Jesse Guerrier, age 26, single, a sales clerk of 231 South Burnett Street in East Orange for presenting a fictitious insurance card. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.
