The Clark Blotter: Police Investigating Rash of Thefts from Vehicles

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clark police activity from Jan. 14 - 21, 2013:

Theft from a Vehicle

Jan. 15, 6:27 a.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence at 135 Nassau Street. The incident is under investigation. Steven Francisco was the investigating officer.

Jan. 15, 6:43 a.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence at 131 Nassau Street. The incident is under investigation. Steven Francisco was the investigating officer.

Jan. 15, 7:02 a.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence at 53 John Street. The incident is under investigation. Steven Francisco was the investigating officer.

Jan. 15, 7:08 a.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence at 54 John Street. The incident is under investigation. Steven Francisco was the investigating officer.

Possession

Jan. 16, 11:17 p.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue and Garside Place, police arrested Antonio Sierra, age 34, single, a mason of 64 Pershing Avenue in Carteret for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances). Sierra was subsequently released pending a court date. Brian Pereira was the arresting officer.

Jan. 17, 6:16 p.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road and Walter Drive, police arrested Shaun McAndrew, age 22, single, a delivery person of 219 Hawthorne Drive in Clark for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances). McAndrew was also detained on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $205 for contempt of court. McAndrew was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Kenneth Gualette was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrests

Jan. 18, 12:22 a.m. – In the vicinity of Lake Avenue and Cellar Avenue, police arrested Britney Thomas, age 22, single, a baker of 50 Winding Wood Drive, Apt. #2A in Sayreville on outstanding warrants from Clark, Mountainside, Old Bridge and Roselle, New Jersey totaling $1,636.00 for contempt of court. Thomas was subsequently released pending court dates. Kenneth Gaulette was the arresting officer.

Jan. 21, 10:18 a.m. – In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Matthew Suckiel, age 24, single, unemployed of 35 Linda Lane in Clark on an outstanding warrant from the Union County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court. Suckiel was subsequently turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department. John Ehling was the arresting officer.
