The Clark Blotter: Police Investigate Attempted Burglary to Stemmer Drive Home

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clark police activity from Oct. 30 - Nov. 12, 2012:

Possession

Nov. 12, 8:20 p.m. – In the vicinity of 1060 Raritan Road, police arrested Eryka Underwood, age 18, a student of 3 Elm Street in Clark for possession of suspected marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia. Underwood was subsequently released pending a court date. Pedro Oliveira was the arresting officer.

Possession, Conspiracy to Commit Theft, Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest

Nov. 3, 6:15 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Jeffrey Teal, age 33, single, unemployed of 464 Metlars Lane in Piscataway for possession of narcotics paraphernalia and conspiracy to commit theft. Also arrested were Mark Alexander, age 49, single, a tree climber, of 367 Bruck Avenue in South Amboy for conspiracy to commit theft and Matthew Burr, age 33, single, unemployed of 116 Sturbridge Drive in Piscataway for possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, conspiracy to commit theft, resisting arrest and shoplifting. All three men were subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Brian Soos and Kenneth Gaulette were the arresting officers.

Attempted Burglary to a Home

Nov. 12, 6:28 a.m. – Police took a report of an attempted burglary to a residence at 17 Stemmer Drive. The incident is under investigation. Omer Olmeda was the investigating officer.

Stolen Vehicle

Nov. 9, 10:52 p.m. – Police took a report of a stolen motor vehicle at 1419 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Christian Lott was the investigating officer.

Theft

Nov. 12, 10:26 p.m – Police took a report of a theft of items from a locker at Bally’s Total Fitness at 140 Central Avenue. The incident is under investigation. Brian Soos was the investigating officer.

DWI

Nov. 10, 2:46 a.m. –In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Frank Pepe, age 33, single, a plant manager of 12 Bates Way in Westfield for DWI (driving while intoxicated). Pepe was subsequently released pending a court date. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

Nov. 10, 4:25 a.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Francois Simeone, age 47, married, an accountant of 147 Farley Avenue in Fanwood for DWI (driving while intoxicated). Simeone was subsequently released pending a court date. Keith Meehan was the arresting officer.

Outstanding Warrant

Nov. 12, 1:36 p.m. – At Headquarters, police arrested Michael York, age 29, single, unemployed of 150 Orchard Street, Apt. #2C in Newark on an outstanding warrant from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court. York was subsequently turned over to the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.
