The Clark Blotter: Police Arrest Five Target Shoplifters, Plus DWI and Warrant Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clark police activity from Dec. 19, 2011 - Jan. 2, 2011:

Dec. 29, 10:02 p.m. – At 45 Central Avenue, police arrested Salvatore Tortorello, age 23, single, unemployed of 43 Willow Way in Garwood for shoplifting from the Target Department store at 45 Central Avenue. Also arrested was Anthony Mark, age 27, single, a scheduler of 610 Orchard Street in Cranford for shoplifting and possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances). Also arrested was Joie Tortorello, age 21, single, a call taker of 610 Orchard Street in Cranford for shoplifting. All three were subsequently released pending court dates. Christian Lott, Pedro Oliveira and Eric Richter were the arresting officers.

Dec. 28, 4:18 p.m. – At 45 Central Avenue, police arrested Sharron King, age 36, single, unemployed of 101 Rose Terrace in Newark for shoplifting merchandise valued at $19.99 from the Target Department store. King was subsequently released pending a court date. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

Dec. 24, 1:12 a.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Giampiero Pisano, age 57, single, an equipment operator of 171 North Lehigh Avenue in Cranford for driving while intoxicated (DWI). Pisano was subsequently released pending a court date. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

Dec. 23, 10:31 p.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Julio Casillas, age 63, married, a sales representative of 1141 Tiffany Lane in Lakewood for driving while intoxicated (DWI). Casillas was subsequently released pending a court date. Eric Richter was the arresting officer.

Dec. 23, 12:11 p.m. – At Headquarters, police arrested Stacey Reidinger, age 29, single, unemployed of 47 Norwood Drive in Gillette on outstanding warrants from Clark, Gillette and the Union County Sheriff’s Department totaling $2,800. Reidinger was subsequently turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department. Kenneth Sarnecki was the arresting officer. 

Dec. 22, 3:05 p.m. – At Headquarters, police arrested Tyiesha Bell, age 19, single, a cashier of 230 Parker Road, Apt. #4D in Elizabeth for shoplifting from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Avenue. Bell was subsequently released pending a court date. George Marmarou was the arresting officer.

Dec. 22, 3:05 p.m. – In the vicinity of 1085 Central Avenue, police arrested Latoya Bivens, age 30, single, unemployed of 753 Grove Street in Irvington on outstanding warrants totaling $619 from Irvington and Newark for contempt of court. Bivens was subsequently transported to the Essex County Jail. Also arrested was Kasib Hall, age 24, single, unemployed of 52 Aldine Street in Newark on outstanding warrants from Newark totaling $600 for contempt of court. Hall was subsequently turned over to the Newark Police Department. Also arrested was Laresha Meggett, age 24, single, a bus aide of 103 Prince Street, Apt. #3A in Newark on an outstanding warrant from Livingston in the amount of $558. Megett was subsequently released on her own recognizance. Det. Kevin Shackleton was the arresting officer.

Dec. 20, 4:52 p.m. – Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle which was parked at a residence at 32 Dorset Drive. The incident is under investigation. Thomas Sarnecki was the investigating officer.
