The Clark Blotter: Clark Teen Burned in Firepit Accident Arrested for Second Time

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clark police activity from Jan. 28 - Feb. 4, 2013:

Possession

Feb. 4, 9:38 p.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue and Miller Avenue, police arrested Eryka Underwood, age 18, a student of 3 Elm Street in Clark for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances) and CDS paraphernalia. This is the second time the Clark teen who was burned in a freak backyard firepit accident in November 2010 has been arrested for possession. Underwood was previously arrested in November for possession of suspected marijuana. Underwood was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Ricardo Oliveira was the arresting officer.

Jan. 29, 8:36 p.m. – In the vicinity of 140 Central Avenue, police arrested Daniel Noonan, age 24, single, a customer service representative of 33 Moss Avenue in Westfield for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances) and CDS paraphernalia. Noonan was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Joshua Disano was the arresting officer.

Criminal Mischief

Jan. 31, 3:51 p.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a residence at 163 Fulton Street. The incident is under investigation. Brian Renda was the investigating officer.

Feb. 1, 8 a.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a residence at 132 Gertrude Street. The incident is under investigation. Marty Venezio was the investigating officer.

DWI

Jan. 30, 5:32 p.m. – In the vicinity of Commerce Place, police arrested Ricardo Pinto, age 57, married, a contractor of 70 Balmoral Court in Edison for DWI (driving while intoxicated). Pinto was subsequently released pending a court date. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

Shoplifting

Feb. 3, 11:25 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Timothy Bradley, age 43, married, unemployed of 1045 Grove Avenue, Apt. #7A in Edison for shoplifting at the ShopRite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. Bradley was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Sergio Henriques was the arresting officer.

Fictitious Insurance Card

Jan. 28, 10:38 a.m. – In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Nefertiti Strange, age 33, single, an office manager of 66 East Park Street in East Orange  for presenting a fictitious insurance card. Strange was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Det. A. Manata was the arresting officer.
