The Clark Blotter: Police Stop Sends Woman Back to Kansas

Routine traffic stop reveals outstanding warrant in Wichita, where the 24-year-old woman will be sent when an extradition order is finalized.

Beware fugitives: You're not in Kansas, anymore. A Clark police stop turned into a flight back to the Sunflower State for one woman.

Kellindra Zackery, 24, of 24 Grunman Avenue in Newark was stopped on Raritan Road by officer Christipher Tuccio on March 18. Tuccio found she had an outstanding warrant from Wichita, Kansas for contempt of court. Zackery was arrested and subsequently transported to the Union County Jail to await extradition.

March 15, 2:10 p.m. – At the Elizabeth Police Department, police arrested Lewis Cherry, age 31, of 258 5th Street, Apt. #2 in Newark on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $618 for contempt of court. Cherry was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Terrance Harrison was the arresting officer.    

March 16, 3:56 p.m. – In the vicinity of Lake Avenue and Acken Drive, police arrested Shavon Daniels, age 27, of 174 Carlton Avenue, Apt. B in Piscataway on outstanding warrants, totaling $1,414, from New Brunswick and Woodbridge for contempt of court. Daniels was subsequently turned over to the New Brunswick Police Department. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

March 18, 6:28 a.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Esther Anglade, age 28, of 768 Harrison Street in Rahway for driving with a suspended license and providing false information to a police officer. Anglade was subsequently released after posting bail pending a court date. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.   

March 18, 2:25 p.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence at 1114 Maurice Avenue. The incident is under investigation. Thomas Sarnecki was the investigating officer.
