The Clark Blotter: Clark Woman Arrested for Shoplifting at 7-Eleven

The following arrest information was provided by the Clark Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Clark police activity from April 15 - 22, 2013:

Shoplifting

April 18, 11:01 a.m. – At 10 Westfield Avenue, police arrested Janice Beuntelschiess, age 54, single, unemployed of 1295 Westfield Avenue in Clark for shoplifting at the 7-Eleven Market at 10 Westfield Avenue. Beuntelschiess was also detained on two outstanding warrants from Clark totaling $1,714.  She posted bail on the warrants and she was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Keith Meehan was the arresting officer.

Credit Card Theft

April 17, 1:49 p.m. – In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Quintin Matthews, age 26, single, a restaurant worker of 109 South 12th Street in Newark for credit card theft, theft by deception and fraudulent use of a credit card. Matthews was subsequently released on his own recognizance pendinga court date.  Det. George Marmarou was the arresting officer.

April 18, 4:35 p.m. – At Headquarters, police arrested Steven Camejo, age 23, single, a waiter of 110 New Street in Cranford for credit card theft, theft by deception and fraudulent use of a credit card. Camejo was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. George Marmarou was the arresting officer.

Theft

April 19, 5:19 p.m. – At 45 Central Avenue, police arrested Darius Jones, age 23, single, a sales clerk of 206 W. Price Street, Apt. #2 in Linden for theft. Jones was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle

April 20, 2 p.m. – Police took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was parked in the vicinity of 875 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Joseph Teston was the investigating officer.

Criminal Mischief to a Motor Vehicle

April 21, 1:16 p.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked in the vicinity of 122 Central Avenue. The incident is under investigation. Kenneth Sarnecki was the investigating officer.
