The Clark Blotter: 18 Arrests For DUI, Shoplifting, Possession and More Over Holiday Season

Clark police activity for Dec. 17, 2012 - Jan 14, 2013:

Shoplifting

Dec. 21, 1:11 p.m. – At 45 Central Avenue, police arrested Lazette Tinney, age 39, married, a hospital worker of 263 Montclair Avenue in Union for shoplifting merchandise valued at $111.23 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Avenue. Tinney was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Ricardo Oliveira was the arresting officer.

Possession

Dec. 23, 9:17 a.m. – In the vicinity of 225 Terminal Avenue, police arrested Kenyatta Eutsey, age 18, single, a student of 1521 Andrew Street in Union for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances). Eutsey was subsequently released pending a court date. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

Dec. 26, 11:18 a.m. – In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Thomas Gabany, age 20, single, unemployed of 67 Morris Avenue in Edison for possession of hypodermic needles. Gabany was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

Dec. 26, 10:43 p.m. – In the vicinity of Central Avene, police arrested Willie I. Johnson, Jr., age 40, single, a stock person of 18 Tuxedo Parkway in Newark for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances). Johnson was also detained on outstanding warrants totaling $550 from Newark and Kenilworth. Johnson was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Kenneth Gualette was the arresting officer.

Dec. 28, 6:59 p.m. – In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Michael Gnudi, age 26, single, an assembly worker of 43 Skylark Place for possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances) and possession of hypodermic needles. Gnudi was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Miguel Acabou was the arresting officer.

Jan. 8, 1:02 p.m. – In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Edwin Simmons, age 23, single, a student of 303 Windsor Avenue in Westfield for possession of CDS with intent to distribute. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

Unlawful Possession of a Weapon/Drug Possession

Dec. 20, 10:07 a.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Quatasia Roberts, age 20, single, unemployed of 71 Palm Street in Newark for unlawful possession of a weapon. Also arrested were Alquan Brown, age 22, single, employment status unknown of 317 West Runyon Street in Newark for unlawful possession of a weapon; Alvin Kendrick, age 21, single, unemployed of 171 Jacoby Street in Maplewood for unlawful possession of a weapon; and Brennon Smith, age 20, single, unemployed of Georgia King Village in Newark for unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of CDS (controlled dangerous substances). Bail was set at $90,000, and all four individuals were subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

Driving Under the Influence (DUI)

Dec. 28, 2:23 a.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Danielle Aliparo, age 21, single, a student of 1569 Ridgeway Street in Union for DUI. Aliparo was subsequently released pending a court date. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

Theft

Jan. 4, 12:56 p.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a locker at Bally’s Total Fitness at 140 Central Avenue. The incident is under investigation. Keith Meehan was the investigating officer.

Theft from a Motor Vehicle

Jan. 7, 7:16 a.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence at 39 Grand Street. The incident is under investigation. Dan Pitts was the investigating officer.

Jan. 7, 4:46 p.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence at 40 Grand Street. The incident is under investigation. Chris Tuccio was the investigating officer.

Criminal Mischief to a Motor Vehicle

Jan. 9, 3:16 p.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence at 157 Stonehenge Terrace. The incident is under investigation. Steven Francisco was the investigating officer.

Hindering Apprehension/Criminal Simulation

Jan. 2, 1:10 pm. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound, police arrested Ronald Fallas-Jimenez, age 25, single, a tree climber of 671 Highland Avenue in Newark for hindering apprehension and criminal simulation. Fallas-Jimenez was subsequently turned over to the Union County Police Department. Christopher Tuccio was the arresting officer.

Unlicensed Driver

Jan. 5, 8:05 p.m. – In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Jose Roberto Castillo, age 34, single, a laborer of 815 Grove Street in Elizabeth for being an unlicensed driver. Castillo was subsequently released pending a court date. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

Outstanding Warrant

Dec. 21, 12:47 p.m. – In the vicinity of Central Avenue, police arrested Jonathan Tarsan, age 31, single, a delivery person of 14 Dey Road in Plainsboro, on outstanding warrants totaling $2,250 from Bridgewater and Plainsboro for contempt of court. Tarsan was subsequently turned over to the Plainsboro Police Department. Joseph Teston was the arresting officer.

Dec. 27, 6:53 p.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Timothy Muller, age 34, single, a referee of 98 Hawthorne Avenue in Colonia on an outstanding warrant totaling $8,690 from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court. Muller was subsequently turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department. Joshua Disano was the arresting officer.

Jan. 8, 9:08 a.m. – In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Andrew Catule, age 23, single, unemployed of 58 39th Street in Irvington on outstanding warrants from Irvington totaling $808 for contempt of court. Catule was subsequently turned over to the Irvington Police Department. Det. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

Jan. 12, 10:28 p.m. – In the vicinity of Terminal Avenue, police arrested Philip Ruddy, age 25, single, unemployed of 263 East Westfield Avenue in Roselle Park on outstanding warrants totaling $1,308 from Linden, Rahway and Winfield Park for contempt of court. Ruddy was subsequently turned over to the Linden Police Department. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.
