Clark police activity from Sept. 3 - 17, 2012:

Criminal Mischief

Sept. 3, 2 p.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at 76 Central Avenue. The incident is under investigation.  Omer Olmeda was the investigating officer.

Sept. 7, 8:14 p.m. – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at 239 Lexington Blvd. The incident is under investigation. Christian Lott was the investigating officer.

Credit Card Fraud

Sept. 5, 3:51 p.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway southbound, police arrested Keenen Simmons, age 21, single, a sales clerk of 1521 Sterling Place in Brooklyn for credit card fraud. Simmons was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.  Dan Pitts was the arresting officer.

Theft

Sept. 6, 10:45 a.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at 67 Grove Street. The incident is under investigation. Dan Pitts was the investigating officer.

Sept. 10, 12:50 p.m. – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at 196 Westfield Avenue. The incident is under investigation. Chris Tuccio was the investigating officer.

Shoplifting

Sept. 7, 10:23 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Anthony Brescia, age 61, single, a used car salesman of 72A Inlet Drive in Point Pleasant for shoplifting merchandise valued at $158.48 from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. Brescia was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Miguel Acabou was the arresting officer.

Sept. 16, 5:48 p.m. – At 77 Central Avenue, police arrested Frank Simone, age 44, married, an electrician of 39 Lakeview Place, Apt. #6-B in Verona for shoplifting at the Marshall’s Department Store. Simone was subsequently released pending a court date. Joshua Disano was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrests

Sept. 8, 8:15 a.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue and Brant Avenue, police arrested Giangelo Good, age 32, single, a driver of 383 Broad Street in Bloomfield on outstanding warrants totaling $329 from East Orange and Montclair for contempt of court. Good was subsequently turned over to the East Orange Police Department. Kenneth Gaulette was the arresting officer.

DUI

Sept. 9, 9:40 p.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Fernando Nole, age 35, single, a security guard of 570 Third Avenue, Apt. #2 in Elizabeth, New Jersey for driving under the influence. Nole was subsequently released pending a court date. Christian Lott was the arresting officer.

Possession

Sept. 14, 9:50 p.m. – In the vicinity of Central Avenue and Virginia Street, police arrested Christine Arnold, age 28, a receptionist of 3 Coolidge Avenue in Edison for possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS). Arnold was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Sgt. Pat Grady was the arresting officer.
