The Blotter: Police Activity, Nov. 22-29

Clark PD arrest two Garwood teens after finding controlled dangerous substances.

Nov. 29, 7:48 a.m., Clark PD – Police took a report of a criminal mischief at 100 Westfield Avenue. The incident is under investigation. John Ehling was the investigating officer.  

Nov. 27, 9:58 p.m., Clark PD – Police took a report of a burglary to a residence at 61 Fairview Road. The incident is under investigation. Andy Wagner was the investigating officer. 

Nov. 27, 1:15 p.m., Clark PD – Police took a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a residence at 135 Conger Way. The incident is under investigation. Daniel Pitts was the investigating officer.

Nov. 27, 1:52 a.m., Clark PD – In the vicinity of 26 Largo Lane, police arrested Stephen Menakis, age 18, a student, of 409 Locust Avenue in Garwood for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Also arrested was Michael Pares, age 18, a student, of 607 Spruce Avenue in Garwood for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Both men were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. George Marmarou was the arresting officer.   

Nov. 26, 1:17 p.m., Clark PD – In the vicinity of 77 Brant Avenue, police arrested Thomas Wansaw, age 49, unemployed of 738 Rahway Avenue in Westfield on outstanding warrants from Garwood and Kenilworth totaling $620.  He was subsequently turned over to the Garwood Police Department. Antonio Manata was the arresting officer.

Nov. 23, 9:27 a.m., Clark PD – At the Hudson County Jail, police arrested Leverne Ford, age 47, single, unemployed of 53 Roosevelt Avenue in Jersey City, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court.  He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Thomas Sarnecki was the arresting officer.

Nov. 22, 2:40 p.m., Clark PD – Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at 45 Central Avenue.  The incident is under investigation. Eric Richter was the investigating officer.  

The Garwood Police Department does not provide a police blotter, but does send Clark-Garwood Patch press releases regarding specific borough incidents. None were received for these dates.
